Hopefully this goes thru,I love this forum, I have learned so much since I joined in May. I have sewn for years but only quilted for 5yrs, the quilts have been for our school quilt auctions, proceeds go to the individual teachers for the classrom , its usually something the kids create(like hand prints or pics) This year I did the whole thing from begining to end(I had sew much fun)Our theme was recycle, renew, reuse. I used the childrens clothing -shirts ,blouses, dresses, cotton of course, and did a strip quilt with a twist (oldest sons class) And a sun made out of the kids hands for second sons class . It was hard to do the strip quilt because I wanted it to coordinate Hope ya'll can see the pictures and I so want to learn how to machine quilt. This site is addictive but then again so is quilting.
