I was able to take a class on FMQ this weekend. It was wonderful. She said 2 things that may be helpful for you. 1. Never roll your quilt as you go - it makes the roll fight with you, just scrunch it up.
2. You only need the space where your hands are holding the quilt, to guide your quilt as you are quilting - open and flat. The rest of the quilt can be scrunched around your hands and in the area around you. Practice!!!! Blessings as you quilt and create.
