I wrote a nasty email to corporate headquarters for Walmart and they wrote that uncut fabric was being discontinued and space devoted to "family and life celebrations" departments (meaning party stuff, scrapbooking, kids crafts, etc.) They weren't getting enough profit margin from the department considering they had to devote a clerk to it. OUt of four Walmarts, we are down to one with fabric for just a year more. Their supply is getting really small. I did notice that Hancocks is increasing their fabric supply, but their prices have jumped to $7.99 a yard and up, and that included the same fabrics from Walmart that sold for $2.44! We do have a Hobby Lobby, but what they have is limited. Guess it's time to work solely from my stash for awhile.
