Hi, I've been following the conversations for a couple of weeks and have learned so much tha my ears buzz.

I live in Windhoek, which is the capital of Namibia, on the south western side of Africa. Yes, even here on the outskirts of the Namib desert, we build stashes, admire each other's creative masterpieces and we quilt.
I am a member of the Sandroos (literally translated as Sand Rose - which is found in the desert) quilt group and we meet once a month on a Saturday to share the fruits of our labour, share experiences, assist each other and sew for the day. I have been quilting for 10 years and it has enriched me no end.
I'm blessed with an understanding (retired and patient) DH and 3 lovely DDs (21 yr old triplets - two of whom also share my love for quilting).
Waht else can I say? Happy to be here!
