Linda sent this to me as well :-)

Her brother pieced this quilt...very manly.

Did you know Eagles only eat live food? I imagine this eagle is hunting. I grew up in AK and since moving I don't know that I have seen a free eagle flying since...it was such a sight to see when I was young. I remember in school they told us eagles were endangered, yet we saw them so frequently....beautiful.

It was pretty amazing as well...just another quick note about eagles..I went on a mission trip to Jamaica. One of the boys ( He was my favorite kid in the village) I worked with him, he was 11 at the time...he said she had read about this wonderful place in America..."they had bald Eagles flying in the sky"..I said or where was that..he said "Alaska...Have you been there before?" :D We had a nice chat about ALASKA. Beautiful memories.

Anyway.....As far as the quilting...it was hard for me to decide how to quilt this..there wasn't so many small details to outline...they were all kind of blended.... I tried to highlight the ones I could. Then I kind of just wanted to add enough quilting to make it a quilt... Those diamonds made from HST...I thought I could do something fun in those so I put a pine tree in the center of each one....

I quilted this on my 26 INNOVA.

I used two different threads...a khaki color and a gray color 70wt.

Hobbs poly down batting.

Thanks for looking.
Blessings
