Really distinctive - is it made like the clothsline bowls, but flat instead? If so, I think you are supposed to start with cotton clothsline and machine sew with a zig zag stitch, but with the bowls, the clothes line is wrapped with strips of fabric. Does that make sense? I haven't tried it, as I can't find any cotton clothes line here in Ireland.
