Running out of bobbin thread has happened to me too. Far too many times! So---I use a bobbin in the spindle on top of the machine as well as the bobbin within the machine. That way, when the bobbin on top is running out, I realize the bobbin in the machine is running out too and I fix it before it actually runs out. I think I read about doing this on this board actually! I wind a boatload of bobbins before I start my project, so I won't have to stop and wind during the project, especially since I'm using 2 bobbins as I sew along :thumbup:
