Thank you all for the wonderful feedback on my quilt! Many have asked about the pattern. It is the Carpenters Wheel (or Carpenters Star) using HSTs and squares and is done in batiks in shades of brown, green and gold with a beige background. This was an experience for me as I am directionally and mathematically challenged! LOL I drew it out on graph paper and converted the only pattern I had for the star, which made 8'' squares, into 5" squares. I added the inner border then the second round of zigzag and additional borders. The finished quilt is 98" square. I wish the quilting showed up better in the pic. There is SID, crosshatching, and leafy vines, oak leaves in the corners and stipple around the outside border. It was quite a job to wrestle it through my little Singer! But I did just one quadrant at time and it worked pretty well. Again thanks. I'm pleased with results myself!
