The repairman said he tested that 10 times, during the repair. I believe he did, but some part isn't lining up or is bent, so next service call, I will get the newer version installed. I can see that it really takes some practice.
If at all possible take it back soon as you just paid for the check up. My threader (Berninia) slipped down several times and would not work at all. My fingers could not get in the right place or push enough to put it back up and the service person was able to fix that.
