Don't know if the fabric would be microwave safe or not. If it isn't safe you will hear 'snaps' or 'pops', and possibly see sparking. However, you could always microwave the bowl and then remove it with pot holders and put it into your bowl warmer to hold it. Kinda defeats part of the purpose by not heating the bowl in the warmer but it will still protect your hands and table after the bowl is warmed.
