Question: what is the reason for the initial stitching up of the sides? I have a book that describes 3 methods for these blocks but it is not very clear. It does not include that step. I started on a few before I read this tutorial when I was looking for clarity on joining the blocks. Wondering if I need to start over?! Eeek! I am totally stuck now and I can't help but laugh!
