I haave been thinking about your quilt and remember that Mother made two quilts, a Cinderella and a Cowboy one, that were appliqued. The quilting in them was about 1" apart all over the quilts. She did them about the same time as the ones like yours. If I remember right she got them from a catalog call Lee Wards. She hand appliqued those quilts and did all the embroidery and quilting. They were for her first grandson and granddaughter and were done in 1962. The embroidery quilt tops I have seen are not from the same quality fabric.
