I would normally do stitch in the ditch because I like to showcase the piecing - but I read in the rules for the quilt competiiton in the local fair that the stitches must be visible - so I stiched 1/4" into the blue/white blocks. The outside is free-motion. All don my my little Janome.
The wedding quilt was made in just over a month. The tshirt quilt I made over a period of several months. It was supposed to be a grad gift when she received her PhD in Nov07 - but I was working at the time.
