I am so old I fart dust! Almost 66.
The polio epidemic. Such a fearful and painful time for many families and their children. Some people today don't want to vaccinate their children these days, but I remember back then, and I remember my little playmates who suffered so, and I would hate to see polio or smallpox or the other diseases return as an epidemic. Those who forget history are condemned to repeat it.
