A fully (self)deputized officer of the Quilt Police will complain that they have nothing to complain about if the quilt they are looking at is perfect! Not that anything I make is ever perfect, but on the few occasions I have been given unsolicited "advice", I simply respond that "I will keep that in mind next time". And, the next time I do, laughing and shaking my head!!!

From personal experience, I can tell you I committed two 'sins' against quilt law: I pieced the backing one one quilt and used fleece for the backing of another quilt that I entered in a (judged) show. I stood near each display for a while, and couldn't believe the negative comments ("well...I would never"...etc) I heard from people, some of them my own guild members! Those quilts won first and second place awards, respectively.
