I stood near each display for a while, and couldn't believe the negative comments ("well...I would never"...etc) I heard from people, some of them my own guild members! Those quilts won first and second place awards, respectively.
I entered my avatar quilt in the Dallas Quilt Guild Show. Some of the comments I got were "Why did she put ants (the Kokopellis) on the quilt." Decided to only enter the quilt in SW shows. Or at least where the people know who/what Kokopelli is/does.
