Stacey,
One of the first quilts I did was a paper pieced quilt by Judy Neimeyer. I saw the class advertised and asked if it could be done by a beginner. They said sure, and I did it. You have to visit Judy's site at www.quiltworx.com. The pattern I used was Starburst. Actually, the hardest part, after learning the paper piece technique, was tearing off all the paper after the quilt top was finished. And that wasn't really hard, just sort of boring. I love Judy's patterns, because they include all the paper that you need. When I got that quilt done I was so proud. It was hard for me to believe that I could make something that beautiful. I gave it to my daughter and her husband and they have loved it, too. I would post a picture, but I haven't figured out how to do that yet with this new system. Hope you have a wonderful time with your paper piecing. I sure enjoyed it.
