I've always been told a quilt serves as a hug when you can't be there to give the hug yourself. So John can wrap himself up in your hugs anytime he wants. A wonderful, caring thing to do for your friend.
It's funny you say that, the label we printed to put on it has a photo of ourselves and says, "For our friend John, with much love from William and Charlee, Fall 2011, Wrap this around you whenever you need a hug!"
We just hate that he's alone here, his mother and sibs all live in other areas of the state/country. John's only 62... I am so afraid we won't have him much longer.
