Not annoying at all! I think I may be talking in Brother sewing machine language since I'm not real familiar with machine talk yet. The J foot is the one that came already on the machine, so I'm guessing it's like the standard sewing foot. Basically, it looks like two metal toes with a wide opening and has clear plastic there between the metal toes so it's real easy to see where you're about to go with it. Hopefully someone here can explain better than me.
