The J foot is the one that came already on the machine, so I'm guessing it's like the standard sewing foot. I think what you're describing sounds like an open appliqué foot - I'll fiddle around with my various feet (I've got some i have no CLUE what they're for! :shock: ) and see what works best. Thanks Eddie! :D
its called an open toe foot in sewing language. you can buy it in medal or clear.
