I have been going to estate and yard sales, looking for a vintage machine, be it Singer or a really good clone, because I am tired of trying to arm wrestle the quilts under those too little harps on the newer machines. My really nice older Kenmore I found sews beautifully, but even that doesn't have enough room....I know...I tried. And somehow, lol, I did an EXCELLENT job of finding beautiful cabinets.

I now have the two clones sitting IN their beautiful cabinets, one that came with, and one that fits just right. But the new and newer machines don't fit into the cabinets that are left, but sit ON THEM. Hmmm. I really don't have room for 5 open cabinets sitting around.

I suspect I am not the only one with this problem. One on the prettiest is now in the living room, has a lovely vintage crocheted runner on it, and is awaiting a vintage lamp, which I know just where to go to get, lol. Another is sitting closed, with a machine perched on it, next to a bookcase, two are open and ready for use, and well.....the non-tried out clone is sort of sitting in the middle of the floor, blocking traffic, waiting for me to clean it up and try it out. And my really dear dh is not saying a word.
