I clip, mostly because my curves never seem to want to lie flat, regardless of how narrow the seam. I learned from my 4-H teacher and my grandmas to clip. When clipped, they really lie nice and flat and totally behave. When not clipped, the seams are bulky, awkward, and in general just don't behave.
