Do you do write the label by hand or are you able to use Microsoft Word etc.,for the message and then print on the label. I think I have seen a youtube video where the girl applies the label first to freezer paper but I would worry I wouldn't get it centered.
I serge them apart to finish the edges, then turn them under and whipstitch them down. I write whatever I want with Pigma pens and I color the designs with Fabrico markers. You could also embroider the inscription.
