Default Pfaff 230

Hi folks,

I don't think this is vintage or antique, but it is a treasure, nevertheless! My mom purchased this Pfaff and the cabinet around 1957. She said it came with lessons and a man came to the house once a week to teach her how to use it. Those were the days!

Mom sewed up a storm on this machine. She made baby clothes, doll clothes, and halloween costumes. She made many a prom dress and altered her own wedding dress twice to fit her daughters. She got into quilting late in life. I think she was in her 60's when she fell in love with quilting. She is now 86 and she still sews with a passion.

Just look at her old machine. You think she got her money's worth out of this work horse? It is very worn and I love it. Love my mom too! She is amazing. She never wanted another machine. I don't get it, but I respect it enormously. I'm the opposite. :-) I always want the next generation, which currently is the Pfaff Creative Sensation. She thinks I'm crazy. Or she crazy loves me. I forget. :-)
