I already gave my opinion...BUT..in reading all the responses...the best advice is to let her make the decision...it will not be wrong....so much fun to see a young person quilting....my granddaughter and great grand...both have made quilts and they always knew exactly what they wanted....not always my choice...so I would say let her do it...fun....fun...fun...
