I was going to ask this, too. Once the machine head is out of the cabinet it is much much lighter. Those machines weigh a TON!!!!!

I had a cabinet like that and it was a little tricky to get the machine up and down. To put it back down you need to lift it upwards, just a tiny bit, and then push it down into the cabinet. If I remember correctly you will have to push down just a bit before the elevator will allow it to pop up. I think it's a safety thing just so that it won't accidently happen by itself.
