Thanks for this information. I have just finished the top for a California King quilt for my daughter. We measured her bed and she wanted the quilt to be 120 x 102. Never, ever, will I make another quilt that large. I am going to have to piece the batting. Because I figured on a smaller quilt when I purchased the backing fabric, I'm going to have to piece it. My LQS was out of the original backing fabric; but I was able to find another fabric from the same group that will go well with it. Figuring out how to piece it is not my idea of fun. The good news is that my next quilt will be 60 3/4 x 60 3/4.
