The irons I recently got for my Davis VF are Decorah-Posten, and when I Googled it, I found out that Decorah-Posten was a Norwegian immigrant established newspaper in Minnesota in the 1880s. To boost subscriptions, he had a sewing machine manufacturer badge some machines, and an iron maker make the irons with Decorah-Posten name. Subscribers could buy the treadle machines for $2 down and $1 a month for a total of $26. Intriguing, no???
