One thing I noticed about my 7700 is that it has the free arm facility for doing hems and cuffs which the 6600 doesnt have. My dealer thought the 6600 was a little noisier- but having said that you can hardly hear the 7700 working- it is super quiet, so that me be nit-picking really. Either machine would be good but we decided on the 7700 because of the longer harp and the free arm. Hubby is already up and in the workshop cutting my table
