Default Laryngytis has me homebound - I need a challenge!

I work in a call center on three really long (14 hour) shifts a week, Fri, Sat and Mon. Last Friday I was not feeling well and took the day off. Certainly can't afford to take Saturday too! So I went in to work and came home with no voice. Sunday, I started thinking of the Christmas stocking I need to make for my new grandson. I browsed through years of Miniature Quilt magazines and found my challenge. But I still couldn't talk. Monday I went to the doctor (another day off - yikes!) and then got down to business. Now it is Thursday and the stocking isn't done - but the focal point is. I thought to take pictures through the process and hopefully I will be able to share them with you here. First post on the NEW board.

This is my very first Feathered Star. Saner folks might have tried a larger version first. It is paper pieced - and the tweezers you see in one of the pictures came in very handy for helping to remove foundation paper. Though they have already returned to right next to the magnifying mirror- lol. Another item of interest is in the the final pic. A while back I splurged on forked pins and I didn't know if I would use them or not. I'm so glad I did. The bulk of these seams really appreciated their hold on the subject.
