Sounds like a good way to use a once-in-a-life-time dress. I think (but I could be wrong) that very few daughters will wear their mom's wedding dresses. My neice used a part of her mom's and my mom's wedding veil in her veil and my dtr plans to incorporate the remainder on her dress/headpiece somewhere. I think making something the couple will see and use regularly is a nice option to storing a dress that may never be used again.
