I am inspired by many different things. When I see a pattern I try to find a way to make it my own. For the table runner the center block is a desert corsage found at quilter's cache
http://www.quilterscache.com/D/DesertCorsageBlock.html. I was inspired by this pattern from quilting bug
http://quiltbug.com/free/table-topper.htm, however the 9 1/2" strip was too short after adding the first 9 1/2" strip. With trial and error, I increased the strip size to 11 1/2" because I did not want to cut off the points of the center block. If you replace the 9 1/2" increments for strips in the pattern with 11 1/2" strips you will be good to go. Other than that one change I followed the pattern exactly. There is some waste at the end but I rather waste a little fabric than cut off the tips of my center block that I paper pieced.
