I'm really pleased my DH has an interest in the vintage machines and even in their attachments. He's a great one for checking out thrift stores and bringing home an orphan box of attachments. He's polishing up a solid brass thimble that was in one of the boxes. I think he enjoys seeing what can be done with sewing. I've always made his shirts and even some of his boxers and lots of other projects (quilts, table toppers, clothing for my daughter and his two daughters and tons of other stuff. His ex-wife didn't even own a sewng machine and wouldn't have had anything 'home made' in the house. Go figure. But I am happy he enjoys my addiction and participates willingly.
My DH is like yours. He brings home more machines than I do. Always on the look out. He has always had an interest in sewing machine since he was a boy and his mother had a treadle that she told him to leave alone (ya right!) says he can still hear her telling him to leave her sewing machine alone.
