I think the colored pencils she shows are great for traveling too. You just screw them up like a mechanical pencil. No breaking. I'm SUCH a little kid at heart!

I keep a set of washable coloured markers in my sewing room. Best thing to use when doing PPing, to mark the different fabrics on each section. Quick too! And being that they are bright, usually easier to identify what fabric to add .... and not put the wrong one on and have to take it back off!!
