i would take a piece of freezer paper as long as the quilt. now fold in half, over and over till the width is approx the right size for the length of the scallop... now while folded, put a dinner plate on the folded paper, trim round side.... now turn the paper around and check visually...the width can be trimmed at this time to the appropriate width for your design. this should do for both opposides sides...now repeat for the other two opposite sides...
