The first time I heard the term "I Spy" quilt was on an episode of "Simply Quilts" with Alex Anderson. The women from Possibilities, Lynda Milligan and Nancy Smith, were showing how to make their "I Spy Napping Quilt." It was made with hexagons that had triangles on the sides to make like a star design. It was kind of like a charm quilt, where every hex. was different from every other one. But they had suggestions of other ways to make one, such as making it a matching game by having pairs of fabric pictures for a kid to find. It is in their book, "P.S. I Love You, Two!" which is the second of their books of quilts for babies and children.
