The actress who plays Nina on "The Young and the Restless" is a serious quilter. I saw her on the old "Simply Quilts" show and she had pictures of a sewing studio in her back yard which her husband had made. She and (? can't remember her name, Crystal or Cricket?-- blond and plays a lawyer) are good friends. She was making a Crazy Quilt for her as a wedding present. It had some gorgeous embellishments.
