I wanted to do more than SITD which was the only stuff I had done so far. I did some echo quilting about 1/4 inch away from the seams for some. The card trick, I literally took chalk and drew radiating diamonds coming out of the center. On the blocks with some larger rectangles, I made some melon shaped templates for the sashing and I took those and put them in the blocks too. I made some heart templates and drew them onto the top. The only regret I have is that I used orange chalk in spots and it never washed out. Everything else did. The quilting itself took about 4 1/2 months and I worked between one and two hours a night on it. I started in the center and worked my way out, and then did the sashing, corner squares, and borders last.
