mine is felt and I like it a lot. However, I have noticed that when I am sewing rows together and they get a little heavier I have to use a pin to keep it up and not fall down. It isn't something that bothers me that much, but I think when I get a more permanent place to have the board I am going to glue it down instead of just the push pins holding it up.
