All of the machines that I use are Janomes. One takes metal bobbins and the other the plastic kind. I buy all my bobbins at Walmart and they seem to work fine in my machines, though in looking at them I can see that the quality of the Mfg. bobbins is much better. As for needles though I must always use Organ Brand needles. The others just break off and I almost got one in the eye the other day when I was trying to use up some old needles I've had around for a long time. No more of that!
