I have the Laura Ashley for a little over a year and love it! I like it even better than my Bernina 440 QE which I hardly use anymore. The features it has all are useful. I am sorry it doesn't have a dual feed, That's about the only doo dad it doesn't have. The auto threader is the easiest I have ever used, needle up/down, thread cutting, the option to sew using a button instead of a foot pedal. It has a large harp so you can easily fit a queen sized quilt through for stitching. It has more stitches than I will ever use. Can't speak about the other model, but the Brother machine is a good one.
