That would be quite a challenge. If you hand stitch I think you would have a better chance of success. much slower but very rewarding. Start with a small doll quilt size and see if you think you could sick it out trough a king size. The way I usually work things like this is to cut your template actual size and then cut your fabric with your seam allowance. Draw the actual size onto the fabric and use those lines to sew.
