Hooked - I have this same pattern. I've been thinking about trying a new idea: for each square you make with a present on it, if you put a backing on it--probably by the 'birthing' method so there is no binding around the edge---wouldn't they make really cute individual coasters??? That's my plan, to give those a try next week. Do you think it would work?
Would be really cute but would have to make the block smaller. My presents are 6 inches square and I think that would be to big for a coaster.
