Are you talking about the serial number? It is under the bottom plate. Remove it with the thumbscrew about in the center. Once you have it off, it is a good time to check the condition of the felt pad. They can get pretty ugly.
It is not uncommon to be missing the bobbin case. I hope you find yours.
