Sounds as if you experienced a "fabric hoarder" of the worst kind, the kind that is emotionally attached to what she has. She will likely never sell it. My mother was a hoarder and I know the symptoms. Too bad she wasted an hour of your time. Kudos to your DH for being so patient.
