This block is based on raw sizes of 1 1/2 ", as litacats points out. The math is tedious, but fairly simple. For every measurement, subtract 1/2", multiply to whatever size you want. I think 2 would work as a multiplier, although 3 or even 4 would work well. Then add back the 1/2" for seam allowances. Frankly, I think your idea of enlarging for a wall hanging is much nicer than making smaller blocks for a quilt. Be sure to show us your results.
