I have one similar to that, It goes on my embroidery machine to support the hoop and the item you are sewing. Mine doesn't have the smaller piece that makes the hole smaller. Mine fits my Bernina 650 embroidery machine. It won't work on my newer Brother machine as it loads on the lefthand side.
