I agree that the shop owner should be made aware. If the store is a distance away you might want to handle it with an email including the attached pictures. I understand that you might not want to ask for a replacement, but if it is as good as my local Quilt Shops they will make sure it is made right. Mistakes happen and we learn from them. If she bought this as a pre-cut, she will make sure in the future there are no such problems with the products from this vendor or switch vendors. If she had it cut by staff she will make sure they are educated about the problem.
