I'd agree - mail it back it if is not local with a letter and precede it with a phone call to mgr. Otherwise trot in there and do a show and tell! Good luck. And while you're at it, make sure they give you one which is somewhat within a stones throw of the right size! I just bought a set of eight fats at Jinny Beyer and one of them was so off square I couldn't get what I needed from it for my pattern.
