I also have a golden ret. who will be 2 in a couple of weeks. He has ALOT of energy and I am not sure at what age they "chill"!!. We love him to death however the shedding I do not love to death!!! His breeder also has just started breeding goldendoodles says she feel in love with them! I think their tempermant and socialization has alot to do with the breeder for sure. He was very socialized as a young pup and we kept up with that. Easy enough to do, since goldens are so very friendly. I would not mind having a goldendoodle or labradoodle for my golden ret.
